General Announcements

Equal Opportunity Information

Career Center Resource Room:
The One-Stop Career Center is open from 9am to
5pm Monday through Friday. A counselor is available
to familiarize you with the Center's many services.

Holiday Closure:
The One-Stop Career Center will be closed:
11 November - in observance of Veterans' Day
26 & 27 November - in observance of Thanksgiving

Workforce Investment Board Meeting:
The St. Lawrence County Workforce Investment Board
will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, December 9
at 6:30 PM at the GranView Restaurant, Ogdensburg.

NEW Community Solutions for Transportation
This program reimburses low-income people 15 cents
per mile, up to 100 miles per day, for travel to work
and day care providers. You must travel at least 10
miles from your home. Commuter bus users may also
be reimbursed. For more information contact
Wendy LaDue at the One-Stop Center at 386-3276.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Informational and Orientation Sessions
Approximately one-half of the funds available for training this year are made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and are targeted to low-income/low-skill adults and to dislocated workers.
